foreign object in my chicken from asda

Morning all,

i purchased some of the boneless cooked chicken goujons from an asda store recently,
when i started to eat one of them there was some bone in there, i was lucky not to bite into the bone itself and break a tooth or swallow it,
i contacted Asda through twitter to advise this, the response i got was very dismissive and they just told me sometimes there are bones in the chicken,

i wasnt happy with this so i contacted the local council who investigated this, they collected the bone and investigated with the manufacture and asda,
i got a tweet from asda offering to send me a gift card to cover the cost of the chicken and a little extra they said,

The gift card arrived yesterday with the value of £2 on the gift card, to me this is insulting and not right,

does anyone have any advice on anything else i can do?

thanks

Did you or didn't you break a tooth as what you wrote doesn't make sense.

Does the packaging state 'may contain bones'?

I'm sure there will be a disclaimer on the package saying

While every care is taken to remove bones., some may remain.

    What exactly do you want?

    My advice.

    Move on

Package probably says "may contain bones "

Your suffered no injuries or loss

Or were you expecting £1000's in "compo" ?

And a chicken bone in chicken is not a foreign object.

It might be a foreign chicken.

usually this type of product will have something like this in small print "Extra care has been taken to remove bones, although some may remain"

Did you break your tooth, or suffer some other form of financial loss as a result of biting the bone?

If not, then £2 whilst not being overly generous, is probably all you are likely to get.
  • Chickens have bones, well I never.

Cut to the chase, how much do you think this trauma is worth?

You can use the £2 to buy some more goujons?

If you have actually broken a tooth and swallowed it by biting into this rare chicken that has foreign objects AKN as bones? Then suggest you go and see a dentist as your teeth seem pretty weak?
