Gees to get refund now refunded way too much.
Hi!
I have got such a frustrating situation.
I was with Together energy until November last year and switched to OneSelect.
In December OneSelect went under and got taken over by Together Enegy so Im back where I started now paying more than I would have done had I stayed with them in the first place! but that's not the issue...
Because of the above I never got my final bill from together energy and both providers charged me for 2 months.
Cue lots of phone calls to together energy and multiple promises of final bills and refunds.. and stupid call handlers who didn't seem to understand that I was with them, moved away and was now back under oneselect.
Last week I finally got a final.bill and a refund but the idiots have refunded me 5 times so I've got about £500 more than I should have.
Each time I've called them I've been queuing for over half hour (They don't seem to be able to cope with the influx of new customers as we're find before) and then got cut off multiple times when queuing and once when connected.
So having just tried calling them again to tell them I now owe them money and got cut off after 20mins I am very reluctant to try again..
So long story short.. obviously I can't keep the money, as much as I'd like to, but how the heck do i go about giving it back if I can't get through to them with out spending hours of my day trying???

Having been moved from One Select to Together as you have, I have yet to receive a final OS bill OR been asked to pay TE anything and my online account contains no information ,no meter readings NADA. I moved on to another supplier a month ago.
I sympathise with your problems but I would suggest you open an easy access savings account and deposit the excess credit in there so that it is readily available when/if they ever get their act Together - don't stress yourself about this useless organisation:)0 -
@brewerdave That's what I've been thinking of doing. How long do I leave it there?
It's even more frustrating that TE were really good before they took over oneselect and the online access was really useful.
Now that's just stuck at the end if october and have been told I need to call up monthly to give meter readings as I won't have a new account for a while yet.0 -

As per Quentin's post - just leave the money gathering (some) interest until/if they ask for it back.:rotfl:
Re your second comment - another example of a Utility Co. getting greedy - the directors love the idea of an extra xx thousand customers - but don't like the idea of employing enough people to service the new customer base. It has happened on almost every SOLR process in the past year.:mad:0
