Nram/pinnacle ppi

Options
I bought a house back in 2004 and sold it in 2008 I didn't keep any of the info relating to this, well I did for a while but after about 6 or 7 years it all got sorted through and binned!
I found an old mortgage reference at the start of the year and contacted nram as the mortgage was through Northern Rock who indeed informed me that there was ppi on three different account/ reference numbers relating to the property I do remember getting loans on the property to renovate the place.
I complained that I didn't realise there was ppi on the house and if it was explained at the time I don't recall it I also explained I should be we have had ppi as I was in a secure job, had good credit and I had protection on a bank account I had at the time.
The end result off them was that I had ppi for a month ....I don't recall as it was such a long time ago and that it was on one of the numbers mentioned it came to about 90 pound.
They went on to say there was no further info on the other account/ reference numbers and that they had contacted pinnacle insurance and they had no further info on them either.
Do I just accept there final offer which doesn't seem like much but I had no idea I had it in the first place so anything is a bonus or do I get a company involved and see if they can take it any further as I have no clue what I'm doing with this?
Thank you for any advice, info and comments in advance.

Unless you have evidence you paid more, accept their offer.

You have already submitted your complaint to then, so there is no point in paying a claims company to photocopy it and send it again.

You have already submitted your complaint, so any attempt to subsequently involve a third party is only likely to gain you a bill for wasting their time. The Bank will not entertain a repeated complaint submission and a Claim Company cannot somehow "negotiate" for more.

You need to understand exactly how little Claim Companies do. Basically, they put a stamp on the envelope containing your complaint. That's all. In return for this "service" they charge 20% (plus VAT) of the total refund before tax.

So just be thankful you didn't employ a CMC and be content with your modest windfall, unless you have compelling evidence that you paid more than they are refunding.
