Remortgaging within 6 months of ownership

Hi, I’ve owned 50% of a property with my mum for several years and I’m now inheriting the other 50% from her. Will I have to wait the 6months before remortgaging the property even though I already owned 50% of it?

You've posted this on the credit cards board, whereas its subject matter is more suited to the one specifically about mortgages, at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=15

I'll move it to a more appropriate location

    No. You won't.

Inheritance is one of the exclusions to the "six month rule" adopted by some lenders.
