In my experience, Marcus are exceptionally quick and easy with an unfussy website.
That's my experience with Marcus as well.

I paid in from my current account to KRBS yesterday (23rd) around noon. The deposit still wasn't showing late last night although it did show this morning (24th) as deposited on 23rd. This is a bit of a PITA for me and it's not the first time i've had to open an account to discover the applicable 'anomaly'. Perhaps i should have read this thread first :-)

Cynergy, for example, requires a code to my mobile every time i transfer money to my nominated account. And it's a very clunky website that keeps logging me out.

Can anyone please give me a heads-up on Marcus before i open yet another EA account?

    Thanks

I find Cynergy very quick and easy to use and transfers in/out are usually done pretty instantaneously, even at weekends.

Never had any issues with being logged out. Browser issue ?

Thanks people, i think i will give marcus a go.

Could be a browser issue with Cynergy i suppose, but i flit between several providers and it's the only one to give this sort of problem. They also put up continual messages when you log on with no options to say you've read them or you don't want their security software on top of all the others that are installed. And as i said i really think it's a bit over the top - especially in an area where there isn't great reception - to have to get a code via mobile (no landline option) every time when transferring money to your nominated account. It's the only Bank i know that does this. But i will admit they are pretty quick when all goes smoothly.

I had a look at the proof of ID etc lists you need to supply if they need them and it seems you can't print out bills etc as proof which seems strange as all banks etc are now pushing us to receive statements, bills etc electronically rather than through the post.

KR use Natwest for their payments.

I`ve paid money in (before 3-30 pm on a working day) and it shows the next day, although it`s dated as being on the day of transfer.

I assume if it`s paid in on a Friday, it will show on Monday.

    I`ve not tried withdrawing yet.

Depending on your account terms, you can withdraw online, in branch, by post or over the telephone. Funds will only be able to be transferred electronically to your nominated account. Only customers who opened their accounts in a branch will be able to transact in a branch.

Nominated accounts: Must be a UK Bank/building society current account held in your name.
For notice accounts, if you are requesting a withdrawal, you must specify if you require immediate access to the funds. If you do require immediate access, the withdrawal will be subject to a loss of interest, details of which are set out in the product literature.

For fixed term accounts, if you are requesting a withdrawal during the fixed term, you will incur a loss of interest as stated in the product literature.

Any withdrawal request received on a non-working day (i.e. a weekend and any national holiday in England) or after 3.30pm will be processed the following working day.

I agree but that's been my experience elsewhere recently, I've had to pay £2.50 for a copy statement rather than print my own off, even though you'd assume it's essentially a printout of the same PDF!

Must remember to do a comparison to see if there's any material difference!

I do wonder whether there are two sites as I get no messages about security software. I login, it goes straight to my account page. There was a message on page1 recently after the change to Cynergy about the changeover from BOCYUK advising people they will need to update saved links, but that,s gone.

Weird indeed. Still, i guess this is getting to be a bit of a hi-jack of a KRBS thread. Sorry OP. On the subject of which, i did pay in an amount this morning and it did show up this afternoon which is something.
