When we took out a mortgage, with Nottingham Buuilding Society, they wouldn't let us have one unless we took out Accident, Sickness and unemployment cover, they directed us to Cardif Pinnacle, is this classed as PPI. But when we go on the PPI websites, they wont deal with it as a PPI as it wasn't directly with the bank. But it wasn't something we wanted, we couldn't go forward with the mortgage unless we had it.

hey directed us to Cardif Pinnacle
What do you mean by that?
If they sold the Nottingham B/Soc product (which may have been underwritten by Pinnacle) then that makes them responsible for the sale. However, if you went direct to Pinnacle to buy it then the building society are not liable for the sale.is this classed as PPI.
It is a form of PPI. One of the better types (that you can still buy today).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
