1st time ticket from G24 in Scotland

Hi,

Sorry or another thread but just wanted to explain my story. I have received a parking charge notice for a coffee shop in Scotland, my wife overstayed by 42 mins( she was there all night meeting up with a friend).

We have received the charge today, £100 or £60 if we pay within 14 days. I've done a bit of reading and I think the answer is don't pay, especially being in Scotland, however I just wanted to check this is the correct way to go about it. No point even appealing etc.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks

    Ignore it - unless a hire/lease/company vehicle.

G24 never take things any further in England/Wales (where it's much easer than in Scotland), so just sleep easy.

You might get debt collector letters, which are harmless, just ignore those too. We don't need to be updated on debt collector letters, because our response will be exactly the same - ignore!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Seconded.

Nothing to stop you complaining to the Coffee Shop Manager though (by email or phone if it's not local), as long as the driver is NOT named or implied by the words you use.

Just say 'we' are very angry and feel harassed because... and then add that you believe the signs are unlit in hours of darkness.

No contacting G24 - no appeal is worth trying as IAS is a farce - but a complaint by the keeper to a retailer, often gets an easy cancellation to put everyone's minds at rest.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I think I'll just ignore, it's a chain coffee shop which may also share it's car park with another retail store so I doubt they'll do much
