You are the idiot.
Mine was a simple typo.
If that is what you consider a joke perhaps you shouldn't bother replying to people with your sarcastic rubbish. It's just irritating, not amusing.0 -
Ps the above reply was for Agrinnall.
Thank you everyone else for the useful replies.0 -

But not as irritating as someone who doesn't go back and amend their thread title when the typo is pointed out to them.
But if I annoy you that much please do feel free to put me on your ignore list.0 -

Each insurance company will have their own rules. The one I work for allows 14 days from taking the policy out in which the charge will be whatever the pro-rata figure for time on cover will be but the £45 cancellation fee will not be charged.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Hi,
I got my car insurance with a company called QuoteLineDirect 3 days ago and I decided to cancel it today. On the phone with them they said I had to pay a fee of £47.50 for cancelling. I'm aware this sort of admin fee is normal if you cancel normally, but I thought FSA guidelines had a cool off period (or whatever it is called) of 7 days or possibly 10 days? I said so to the woman and she said that it is in their T&C... which I have no doubt it is. But is there a 7 day (or 10day etc) cooling off period were you are entitled to a full refund without a fine?
Thanks,
R
OP next time read the T+C before buying and in fact be sure it is the insurer you want before cancelling. If you have already used the product, of course there will usually be an admin fee, they already covered you in case of accident silly.
if I went and booked a hotel and used it for only 3 hours and wanted a refund, what do you think the guy would say?
