    What a stupid !!!! statement.

    It was 10 years ago.

People make mistakes, your parents did.

You're the one making completely contradictory statements and that makes me the idiot?

Yes it does as I explained I made a genuine mistake.

At least I can admit it....

Or are your adenoids hurting too much from the trainspotting?

I don't have any adenoids. If you had just said oops sorry mistake I would happily have replied we all make them no problem but you started throwing insults around stating it was a stupid statement (because of inaccurate information) and bringing my deceased parents into it.

    Nice one.
  • Thanks everybody for your input. The calls and emails appear to have stopped. I think you were right with the trying it on observation. He probably thought I was good for a few extra quid.

Please don't fight on this thread, you all had valuable input and I appreciate the time you took to help.

Thank you. In these awful times where neighbour is set against neighbour it pains me to see that even motorist are now squabbling like geese with one another.

I hope you remain free of this man's demands for a new clutch for some time.

    A mistake?
When you posted about selling the Roadster, you made more than one mistake including the year and how much you lost and one post made it very clear that you were working as a car salesman in the year sold it.
This could explain why you lost the case.

    In Jan 2006 you stated:
I am that sleazy car salesman(!) that some of you deal with!
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=1396706&postcount=13

Then in 2009 when you posted about the problems with selling the roadster you said:
Hi all. Thought I would give you my personal experience of this. I sold a car about 3 years ago to a guy
And "3 years ago" was 2006.

    Then you stated:
This was 2009 and I no longer worked for the dealer

As to what it cost you:
Eventually he took me to the small claims court and he won. Cost me £1100 plus costs. So be aware!
    Or was it:
    £1800 + court costs + his expenses

So you sold the Roadster in 2006 and again in 2009 and you were fined £1100 + costs and £1800 + costs.

If you can't even get the basic facts correct, how can people believe anything?

I really don't care what you all think. All the adenoids must be hurting you.....
