Gers and Gintot, I'm glad the poorlies are getting better.

OL, glad your hand is feeling better as well.

I went on a lino-cutting and printing course yesterday and really enjoyed it. I bought a basic kit but I really don't need another craft - I need more hours in a day.

Nothing on today apart from walking Ziggy. Tomorrow we'll take her back to Laura's and stay so that we can go to the march for a People's Vote - I am totally fed up with the shambolic news coming from Parliament.

    Good morning everyone.

Nothing much happening here. Hospital visiting and washing nightdresses are much of my days. Today I'm teaching my one Oban student so have to make sure my laptop has got the VC software on.

There's a lot of activity in the park opposite DM's place. Some dead trees are being removed and chipped. The river is having some work done to prevent unwanted sewage getting in. The workmen have been there since Monday even though the schedule was for only one day.

It's nice to read good news here, though mysterious black eyes are not such good news!

I wish everyone a happy Thursday.

I remember now Nelski, thank you everyone for the reminders. Last time was in 2011 or 2012 and I was at work, I think I made a little notice for my desk but that was in the managers' room so I reckon I wore a post it for going into the big office to point out that nobody had thumped me, nor had I has a strange accident. Odd isn't it.

Something must have happened overnight, I can hear the police helicopter so am hoping that nobody connects whatever that is with my black eye.
It is quite springy today, woohoo.

    Morning all from soggy mehefinland
Not a lot happening so haven't posted.
Some numpty parked across the field gate the other day and has leaked diesel all over the roadside. Had to cadge some sand and cover it up before someone went a purler. Grrrr! Place stinks and I know we will have fun getting the girls past it.

The only black eye I have had was a result of violence. Got kicked by Scoobymare from one side of the stable to the other. Have a 'arry potter' scar to prove it. Luckily I had safety specs on or I might not be here to tell the tale. They were bent into a z shape. Apparently when they stitched me up in the horspital they said they could see my skull.

I certainly got some looks for a few days I can assure you.

Nowt else to add so hugs and spoons to those in need

  • I was sitting here ready and waiting for DS to take me shopping when he texted to say he got to the barbers 15 mins before it opened and already 4 waiting!! So it won't be early doors in Aldi for me! Fortunately DS has the day off today so he won't be rushing me round at a rate of knots when we do eventually get there!

Now do I just sit and read whilst I am waiting or start but not finish any jobs! Maybe the former sounds the most appealing.

Take care all and I hope these mysterious black eyes are not getting passed around us all. x

Morning all! Am aching a bit [ok, a lot] but I have pressure washed the drive, the wall outside and all the flaky paint off the garage door. The latter is waiting for OH to paint it now, have suggested something from a comic book, but we'll see what happens, it might be superman...I can actually see the front doorstep now. There's all the paint to brush up but I'll wait until it's dry. It's amazing how bright it all is now.
Also went sewing, the dress is quite easy to put together so far, but I do have to buy a zip, some tailors chalk and some gutermann thread.I think I'll go to town in a bit and purchase those before I forget again.
Also meeting up with a couple of friends later for a catch up, have to buy a birthday present for one too.
The appointment came through quickly for the radio planning, have to go to Oxford on Monday. It's not in the John Radcliffe though, it's in the Churchill hopsital which is much nearer the Maggies center, so I think I'll go early and have a look around there. It's still over an hours drive though...

Sorry about your mysterious eye AOD, personally, I'd probably get a patch and retend to be a pirate for the rest of the week :) Holly, you're already a useful member of society...know what you mean though. How are you at knitting or crocheting? There's a knitted knocker website which has volunteers knitting them. OL, at least the pain has gone and you can use it again, nice dream...why not go and see her? :) ENjoy the madhouse TA! SO, sounds lovely, hot chocolate, nom...Nelski, good luck! mehefin, you were lucky!
Wotcha absentees...shout out to WM, Poppy and hester...

    Afternoon all
Just a quick swing by from me as my head is all over the place......oooh I'm loving this cocktail of drugs :rotfl:. I've also had a black eye, I think it must have been from this infection.
Bathroom flooring down :j, but Mr Fix it took over as I was incapable, especially when a stanley knife was involved . I did put a load in the WM and hang it out, but I don't think it will totally dry, so will finish it off indoors.
This evening I am going with DD and family to watch DGD reciting in the school eisteddford, so I can sit, watch and enjoy :D ( Probably won't understand much though as it's all in Welsh  )
OK I'll love you and leave you as I'm off to have a relaxing bath and then more pills :T.

Take care of yourselves and hugs to all
    nan xx

    Afternoon.

I went back to bed this morning and slept for another two hours. Then I spent another couple of hours prepping the lesson for my numeracy student. Just before the start he emailed me to say he was going home as he'd had a hypo! Anyway, I zoom down to the hospital to drop off clean nighties and knickers for DM, didn't stay very long as she was engrossed in doing a crossword with her visitor.

Back home now and going to sit and read for a while.
