Gmail account after April

As you know Gmail account will be going in April 2019. I have updated my Gmail to Google+ and my PC & phone works.

Is there anything else I need to do, so I don't lose my emails?

Read the information email you received again. Your Gmail account is not going. Google+ is being discontinued for individual gmail accounts.

Which is not the same thing as Gmail's Inbox, that link is referring to some Google app that seems to do the same job which is closing.

Google have a habit of trying all kinds of weird and wonderful things out only for them to fall flat on their face and get retired 18 months down the line. Some of it sticks but a lot falls down.

And to go back to the OP - it's Google+ that's closing, not Gmail. + tried to take on Facebook and Twitter but it wasn't Google's first attempt at social media and it probably won't be their last either. Yes it might have had 111 million "users" but that's only because you got one free with a Google account - vast majority were never used.

I got that email, your google+ is going.. I just thought whats google+? Then deleted the email.
