As long as you pay the amount due on the statement each month, before the due date, then you will always pay 0% APR. You sound sensible, and hopefully that will prevent you from ever paying the ghastly 54.9%!!
If you have to pay the first months' statement manually, then pay it a few days before the due date, just in case there is a hold-up in the banking system.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I think I'll come back on the forum once I've actually received the card, just to double check how I pay it off and set everything up correctly. Thanks again to you, and to all of you that helped!0
