Small Claims Court - Holiday

What's the ballpark figure each of them owe and is it worth destroying any future relationship for?0
-
how many are going and whats the amount that this one girl owes, assuming you get the money from the other 2.
if its a large group would the others all chip in a bit and cover her non payment0 -
The terms and conditions which comms69 posted state that:
The Supplier/Principal may charge the cancellation or amendment charges shown in their terms and conditions (which may be as much as 100% of the cost of the Travel Arrangements and will normally increase closer to the date of departure)."
I think it is worth challenging the agent. Don't just take their word for it that you have to pay 100%. Ask them for a copy of the terms and conditions which show that the cost is 100%.
If it turns out that 100% of the holiday is payable for the cancelling individuals, it is possible to bring a small claim against the girls that are refusing to pay their share.
The supplier probably has to mitigate their loss by trying to re-sell the places to someone else (if this is even possible?). You can make this point to the agent. I suppose whether this is possible depends how far away you are from the travel date.
Personally, I would challenge the agent in the first instance.0 -
No. If you cancel you wont be paying the full balance I'm almost certain of that. I'm guessing this is a foreign company.
Why bother with a deposit if it cant be cancelled?...

So you can cancel - like I posted above (those same T&Cs)0 -
So you can cancel - like I posted above (those same T&Cs)
The T&Cs you posted clearly state that upon cancellation a charge of up to 100% of the travel arrangements can be made.
That would appear to be in respect of charges levied by the ultimate supplier, rather than the Beach's charges as travel agent.0 -
Never mind the hen do, think how much fun the wedding's going to be...
Presumably these three family members/friends are no longer coming to the wedding, either.0 -
Yes upto, but unlikely to be 100%steampowered wrote: »The T&Cs you posted clearly state that upon cancellation a charge of up to 100% of the travel arrangements can be made.
