Received a letter from HSBC telling me I had PPI with DFS back in 2006.
No idea I had this but account states it was added but repayments only listing a payment and date till settled.
HSBC cannot find it in their system as told it's not an active claim yet.
DFS have given me the account number of the transaction and the email of the DFS complaints department.
As I state no idea it was added but we shall see where this goes.

There appears to be more to this than you are currently revealing. Your other posts have been similarly perplexing..0 -
Email from DFS states that they added the PPI element and they are responsible for the redress. HSBC provided the loan on suite purchase which was paid directly to DFS. I then repaid HSBC over a term for the suite. Thanks for describing me as perplexed .. Will have to google that !0

Yea. DFS are responsible for the PPI. Actually got a £400 settlement from Barclays after answering " I don't know " on their claim form. They found the info as I had none.0
