Geek Squad misselling - can I calim PPI?

I contacted Carphone Warehouse after the news broke over this and they say that I had two Geek Squad policies, one which was free and the other where I had made a claim.

In that case they say that I am not entitled to redress or mis-selllng, even though I believe ti was mis-sold.

Are they correct?

What are your reasons for mis sale?

One was free, so a total refund would be £0 plus interest, and the other seems to have been a good purchase.

Neither of them are PPI. They are mobile phone insurance and as above, I can't see how a free policy can be missold, and if you used the other to make a claim for a damaged phone, then you did actually use it, it was useful, so you can't say you didnt need it, because you obviously did.

Even if you could somehow get them to agree you were mis-sold, you'd get nothing from the policy that was free and and any redress awarded on the other one would have the value of your earlier claim deducted from it.

So you stand to gain little or nothing from any pursuit of this...
