Morning all! The appointment yesterday was a plan to plan the plan...Apparently in a couple of weeks I can expect a appointment to come through to do the beforehand gubbins of weighing [eek! weighed yesterday, not pretty...] and tattooing, then it should start about 4 weeks after that. Meanwhile I can have some infusion type stuff. The doc was annoyed because apparently the BCNs should have given me some stuff about it, which they hadn't, so now I'll be doing some googling because apprently, there are videos I should watch on Youtube...who knew Youtube would ever be used by the medical profession? Cool idea.
Today I am going to try to pressure wash the little wall outside, it's a bit grubby, and pressure washing is cheaper than painting. If there's time, also going to attempt to blast the paint on the garage door [whoever painted it used the wrong type of paint for galvanised metal but we haven't touched it since we moved in, and it's very flaky now....]
I have sewing tonight - didn't go last week because I had a cold, and she's really susceptible to viruses and I like her alive, so I decided to stay away :)

I feel a bit better about things in way [last push of treatment and all] but also quite scared too, about resuming a normal life. Partly because of the side effects that are ongoing, partly because I'm not sure I can, not for coping physically, more for coping mentally, like am I going to go batsh*t nuts one day and storm out of a job because I don't believe in what I'm doing and then curse myself to live on my principles which don't get you fed...that type of thing....you know you have a lot of time off coming when you get diagnosed and told, and you hope you'll have lots of time to reflect and plan and learn new things, but in reality it's just one lot of treatment after another and you just don't have that time...Anyway, enough rambling...

Hey SO, how you doin? Yep, it's not fun when the burden is always on you is it? Have a cwtch. Also, as long it wasn't cooked, make a soupy stew thing and put it back in, do you need ideas for anything? OL, I am totally fine [ you know, apart from existential angst type stuff] because I am not being injected in the wrists!! OW!! Hope you don't feel it too much! Holly have you had a look at LVT [ luxury vinyl tiles] apparently it's lovely...TA, play some loud music and sing along while working, makes it go faster and scares the living daylights out of the neighbours...redruby, ew, ew and another ew. Hope your ends are not exploding today....camelot, hows your side now? Gers, still ongoing yay!go you's! for your mother, and for you. AOD, same thing as TA, sing loud, sing proud!
Wotcha people who are not posting but are reading and people that are absent...
    Windchill Wednesday!

  • I started reading the article OL and then got sidetracked by the tropical spider found in the bananas in the "other reads" section! OMG I would be hysterical if I came face to face with one of those! Hope all goes well with the injection x

Morning all. Mr Gintot is doing well thanks. Simon and I visted him yesterday afternoon in icu. Lovely ward very bright and airy John was sitting out in a chair chatting to his nurse. Still feeling the effects of the anasthetic I think.

While we were there he was moved to a ward so we stayed a bit to see him settled then came home.

I am amazed to see him up and about so quickly. Mr Teo his surgeon is very pleased at how the operation went so I am more than happy. Just absolutely shattered.today.

Well hugs to all. Have a good day.

Good morning chums and hope all are well.I have been a busy bunny this morning, washing blowing in the breeze on the line ,nipped to chemist and picked up my monthly prescription, made a bowl of egg mayo to go with salad at lunchtime and have a pot of spicy celery and lentil soups cooking on the stove at the moment .Once that's done and portioned I shall make a victoria sponge cake for my DGS, the potatoes are peeled and in water in the fridge for tonight's dinner .I also have a bag of rhubarb given to me last night by one of the quiz chaps so I shall stew that in honey and strain, and then put in a big bowl and top with a pint of gloopy custard, and breathe ... as by that time it will be lunchtime The nice mild weather gets my motor running :) so this afternoon I shall put my feet up and do nowt :)

I have Jeremy Paxman's book about the British empire to read so I will probably start that I have just finished his one about WW1 and it was excellent

Hope everyone is getting a bit of sunshine at last

    Cheers chums

    Hi everyone
Sounds like you'll be in good hands OL.Hope it helps.Of course I had to read about the spider afterwards ;)
Hope you feel better soon RR
    Have a hug SO
It must be scary thinking about when your treatment finishes Taff and going back to work after a long time off x

Glad you enjoyed babysitting DGD dp
Good to hear Mr Gintot is recovering well and Gers DM.Its stressful having loved ones in hospital so make sure you look after yourselves too x
Burgers from the butchers for tea tonight.I think I might have to do some wedges with the spuds I have left- we haven't got any chips as they were out of stock when my online delivery came last time.
DGC pickup from school,we might swap it round as DS2 thinks they might finish early & he could go for DGS as a surprise,he generally gets DGD as she comes out a bit later and they have been working that side of town.
I dyed my hair this morning- too many grey bits showing ;) and then had a little potter outside at the back ,it seemed nice and warm.I washed a few plant tubs where they have got mucky over winter and then came in for my lunch, puy lentil salad.I cooked a batch yesterday in my instant pot, trying to eat healthier.I got some very rude comments from the men at their appearance -sigh,they are so stuck in their ways re food especially DH.
Anyway upwards and onwards ,bye for now x

    Afternoon all
I didn't have a good night as my face was hurting so much, that this morning I got an emergency appointment with my lovely dentist. Now I not only have a TMJD flare up but also a gum infection, so more tablets collected from the chemist :(. If you hear anything rattling it's probably me :rotfl:.
I finished the painting but I'm not sure about the colour, however Mr Fix It likes it so it's staying for now.
I was going to replace the flooring but I don't really feel up to it, but I will get the new flooring ready. I know where it is, wow that's a first as I normally can't remember where I put things :rotfl:.
Dad is hoping to come for his tea so I have put some braising steak in the slow cooker smothered with onion gravy and the " boys " have requested chips with it.

Sending healing vibes to all the poorly people and hugs all round, might keep one for myself today as I'm feeling very sorry for myself :(. Hopefully all will be well when the new tablets kick in and I get some sleep tonight.
    Take care all.
    nan xx

    Hello everybody :hello:
Lovely sunny spring day today outside. Need to fill up all the bird feeders as well - Lord knows where they put it....
Finally finished the report from hell - the consultant likes to dictate all the scan results verbatim so that slows me down a lot. Still all done, work in in tray for tomorrow and now to do other stuff (ordering posters for event).
Nice to read everyone's news and general improvements although Nannywindows - aaaargh tooth stuff. Hope you get it sorted....
Calmed down from yesterday's freak out re the festival credit card bill.... there was veggie chill left over last night so OH took it for lunch. Full English breakfast tonight as using stuff up. Might be motivated to do some baking as well - I say "might".... but first of all a late lunch for me. Tomato sandwich I think...mmmmm.
Hope everyone has a good day!
    The game's afoot....
