Total parking solutions appeal rejected

I recently received a parking ticket for a car park in Kettering from total parking solutions for non payment. However on arrival we purchased an hours ticket and my husband then purchased a further 2 hour ticket. I sent this off to them as an appeal and they have come back to me saying that it still stands and to avoid further parking notices to enter car registration correctly however when my husband payed he said the machine would only allow him to type numbers no letters!? Where can we go from here as we have the tickets to say the dates/times we paid for and the name of the car park they were for so how can they possibly refuse?

You need to read Post #1 and #3 of the NEWBIES board.
When your appeal was rejected by TPS, you should have been given a POPLA code. This is your next step.
After that, you will want to draft your POPLA appeal. In doing this, you will want to search the board for other cases where there have been issues inputting VRNs. Check out the POPLA success sticky topic above the NEWBIES thread - that will also be a great resource for you.Natwest OD - Start: £1,500 Current: £1,500 | Creation Loan - Start: £2,152.33 Current: £2,082.90 | Barclaycard CC - Start: £5,242.42 Current: £5,416.45 | Novuna Loan - Start: £8,598.43 Current: £8,366.04 | Tesco CC - Start: £9,420.22 Current: £9,885 | Northridge Car - Start: £15,584 Current: £15,017

Thank you how do I find those posts and the newbies boat?0

It is one of the top three posts at the top of the Parking board. It is literally right underneath where you clicked on "New Thread" to start this thread.Natwest OD - Start: £1,500 Current: £1,500 | Creation Loan - Start: £2,152.33 Current: £2,082.90 | Barclaycard CC - Start: £5,242.42 Current: £5,416.45 | Novuna Loan - Start: £8,598.43 Current: £8,366.04 | Tesco CC - Start: £9,420.22 Current: £9,885 | Northridge Car - Start: £15,584 Current: £15,017

I have read some of the other boards and if im honest the wording h just goes over my head what I’m looking for advice with is on whether a POPLA appeal is worth it.
I recieved a parking ticket for none payment in a Total Parking Solutions car park despite having purchased 2 tickets they have rejected our appeal saying we hadn’t put our registration number in correctly. Now we still have the tickets stating the date/times and name of the car park which shows we were there at the same times that they have evidence of us being there except the tickets only show the numbers on our reg instead of the full registration, would this be enough evidence for a POPLA appeal?0 -
Yes a PoPLA appeal is worth it.
Post 3 of the NEWBIES has a whole raft of template appeal points to chose from. Use all the ones that are relevant plus frustration of contract caused by the failure of the pay machine if it isn't included there.
The usual points where relevant are,
Not the landowner
No standing to issue charges in their own name
Non PoFA complaint NTK
Grace periods
and in your case, Frustration of contract
plus anything else relevant. You inly need one successful point to win but the scammers need to rebut every point.
You should also complain to the landowner and your MP.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Yes POPLA is worth it but no, you will not win by talking about a wrong VRN.
You cannot tell me that post #3 of the NEWBIES thread, about POPLA, went over your head? Have you read it (yes it has lots of words...but please read them). Do you know the thread we mean?
The advice about POPLA is really simple.
The post #3 of the sticky thread, the one with the 'POPLA template points' wording in it, where I already answered your question...it tells you POPLA is worth it.

Yes, there is lots and lots of information in the NEWBIES section. Take the time to read it - grab a cuppa and read it carefully.
Be aware that you only have a limited amount of time to submit your appeal to POPLA, so no point in delaying - get reading and researching!Natwest OD - Start: £1,500 Current: £1,500 | Creation Loan - Start: £2,152.33 Current: £2,082.90 | Barclaycard CC - Start: £5,242.42 Current: £5,416.45 | Novuna Loan - Start: £8,598.43 Current: £8,366.04 | Tesco CC - Start: £9,420.22 Current: £9,885 | Northridge Car - Start: £15,584 Current: £15,017

I received a parking fine from Total Parking solutions at the B&Q car park in Sutton during the corona virus lockdown, when B&Q were only operating a click and collect service. The member of B&Q staff at the entrance to the car park advised parking up in the car park and wiring in the queue - expected wait 1.45 hours (I actually waited 2.5 hours!) but he never mentioned the parking restrictions, and being new to the Sutton site I didn't know of this previously. At the time it was impossible to get hold of customer service at B&Q for advice, so I appealed the fine, but recently heard that my appeal was denied, but as a 'gesture of goodwill' TPS would reduce the fine to £20 to cover admin costs. I can appeal to POPLA, but will forfeit my right to a reduced fine. Grateful for any advice, or if anyone else has found themselves in the same position.0
