The word 'summons' being used by the hotel, as opposed to the PPC using it, is of little consequence. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Sorry what I mean is the hotel quoted what PE had said and in an email sent me a direct quote of PEs response which had the word summons.0

Can I just ask please as I have seen advice that it is better to hand deliver my pack with WS and evidence to the court which I plan to do, should I expect a receipt?
Also what do people advise with regards to serving PE with my WS statement and evidence, is it best to post or email or hand deliver?
Finally my hearing letter doesn’t mention a skeleton argument. When would this be submitted at the same time or within 14 days of the hearing?
Thanks0 -

So PE have made me a WPO today (the day before my submission of witness statement & evidence is due. The offer is to pay the original charge of £60, I’m thinking I should just take it and be done with it all. Frustrated as on principle I think I have a good case and clearly since they have made the offer they are questioning the strength of their case against me, but realistically don’t have the time or energy for going to court.
Thank you all for your help anyway.0
