    I don't think there is any connection. I had the same call from a different (spoofed) number today at 11:25, and I haven't applied for anything recently.

    It’s the law of averages - millions of calls, x% get some resonanace with the receiver followed by y% that fall for it. it adds up to quite a large number of unfortunate victims
