Ebico initial readings incorrect
I recently moved from ourpower to ebico.
The switch to ebico completed literally days before our power went bust, the switch date was 23rd January 2019, news reports show they went bust on 26th January 2019
I also begun using the new electric key from ebico on that date and provided them readings also on that date, and took photos of the meter.
I provided readings of day rate 26348 and night rate 49332 to ebico that originally showed as accepted in my account.
They've since updated to be entirely different with the night rate some 18,000kwh higher than it should be, subsequent readings which I presume are from when I topped up my key are more inline with the figures I told them and my usage from week to week when I topup.

Anyone know the reasons for this, presumably figures came from ourpower to ebico, does it mean I can expect a bill from administrators of ourpower trying to charge me for the ficticuious 18,000 usage? That's more than 3 years of usage and a cost of £2000+ at my previous our power rates

The new supplier is supposed to handle all aspects of the switch, including passing a validated reading back to the old supplier to close the previous account, the old supplier doesn't pass anything the other way.
Sometimes readings provided by the customer can be changed by an industry third party that validates the reading (which can cause confusion when the changed reading shows up as an 'estimate') they don't normally change the reading by much. When the change is above a certain threshold (1200 kWh for gas, or 250 kWh for electricity) the customer can raise an 'agreed readings dispute' to have it looked into.
Given just how big of a change this is, I'd guess it's just a straight up glitch rather than a validation disagreement, especially since it goes backwards. Its possible its even just a glitch in the online display and not the system used for billing. Raise it with Ebico and let them sort it out.3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day).
