You have nothing to lose by asking for a mandatory reconsideration of the decision.

I would suggest you then get advice from your local advice agency / CAB.

Did you score any points, and for what activities?

For following and planning a journey it's extremely difficult to score points in descriptor B, D,E and F just for anxiety alone. Overwhelming psychological distress (OPD) must be present. If you went to the assessment and were calm then this will show that there wasn't any signs of OPD, therefore no points will be recommended.

Have a read of this link to give yourself a better understanding of the PIP descriptors. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria#daily-living-activities

Nobody here can decide that for you. However, you have nothing to lose by asking for a mandatory reconsideration. You may need more information to support your needs though. For example, you state that you don't like getting on public transport and only use it for appointments. To be honest, many people don't like using public transport and only use it because they have to - it doesn't mean to say that it meets one of the PIP descriptors. You may not like it, but you can and do use public transport. If it affects you, you need to state how you are affected and how long for. Also, using public transport shows that you can plan and follow a journey. You know where to catch the bus/train, what time it arrives, where to get off, etc - if this isn't the case, you need to say why, and what happens.

Take each descriptor and explain why you disagree. You state that your dad takes money out of your account to pay your bills - is your dad your appointee, or do you have a joint account?

Also, you state that 'the woman' thinks you are fine. I assume that you mean the assessor. If so, you should be aware that the assessor does not make the decision. the decision maker does. The DM takes into account the assessment report, plus the original form that you filled in, and any other evidence that you have supplied. Although the DM can and often does agree with the assessor, it is up to you (or your father if he was helping you) to provide full details on your form, and provide additional evidence of your needs.
  • My partner had her PIP assessment and scored zero points! Five years ago she scored 15. Despite this drastic change, she is no better than she was the first time she was assessed. She's just had a mandatory reassessment done and come back with zero too, so she's going to take it to a tribunal, as the report she got had so many false statements and inconsistencies in it that it's a blatant pack of lies.
  • I know the feeling I’m defo going to appeal the decision and I explained to the assessor why I don’t like using public transport I panic and get really annoyed and anxious around people rarely use public transport for that’s reason not because I don’t like public transport if I could I would happily get on the bus or train it would give me more independance and I explained all this in the forms I sent to pip plus in the assessment and I got knocked back, I have spoken to someone I work with who told me to put in for it for my mental health and she said because I was polite I got knocked back it’s so wrong and they expect you to go in and kick off and cry just to get it I told my work person I feel as tho it’s all about eating drinking and stuff nothing for mental health and she said well they are taking mental health more serious now apparently but all I can do is appeal the decision see what happens
