someone mentioned maybe putting it into shares/ bonds etc, but surely that's more risky?!
I looked into an ISA aswell.
You need to decide what you want to use the money for first of all.

Your situation is slightly complicated, I would suggest, as you are not a home owner. I would not like to be renting when retired.

So, you need to understand if buying a property is better for your overall future or not. If you decide it is then you may need to wait a few months etc to build up the employment history before looking at mortgage brokers (just a suggestion).

If you go down the property buying route, and you intend to use the majority of this money towards the property then a cash savings account (ISA and normal) would be my suggestion.

If purchasing a property is decided not to be in your longer term benefit then, I would suggest the money is invested within a pension. What form this pension takes is down to you, i.e. works pension, SIPP, stakeholder etc.

If you go down the pension route or even if you decide on a property purchase but still want to add ot your pension options then you may want to post some more information on here regarding your salary and work place pension, and posters will be able to offer more insightful opinions for you.
