Halifax Clarity Credit Card Rate Hike

Just received a letter from the Halifax regarding my Clarity credit card which i have had for many years to say they will be increasing the interest rate from 13.45% to 18.45%
Just wondered if i had done something to upset them or are others receiving these letters?
And is 18.45 a reasonable rate for this card taking into account the advantages for foreign currency?

Rate increases are standard, both for risk and profitability.
Your new rate isn't high and if you're clearing in full (even with the odd bit of cash), rate isn't an issue.0 -
That’s in line with the current rates for new customers on the Clarity card.0

I got the same letter and wondered if they were trying to get rid of me! I only really use it for travelling but it’s used religiously every month and always paid off in full.
I’m glad I’m not the only one to get the letter.0
