Hi,
My mother and father jointly owned their property.
I was put on the Land Registry over SEVEN year ago by my parents
So currently my mother, father and myself are on the Register of Title of the property.
in his will my mother gets his share until my mother passes away when remaining 2/3 will be passed to the childrenYorkshireman99 wrote: »The property is held has tenants in common not joint tenants so the part owned by the deceased becomes part of the estate and does not pass automativly to the others.
As above, if the ownership wasn't 'tenants in common', your father's share couldn't be left to your mother.
If the owners were 'joint tenants' all three of you would all own all the property - when one owner died, the remaining two would own all the property, not a share of it. When your mother died, you would own the whole place.0
