I have received a phone-call 'out of the blue' from this company saying that they have successfully reclaimed on my behalf £4681 from 'T R A Group'.
They are unable to give further details and are proposing to visit me with a cheque for this sum.
I asked how this had come about as I had never heard of them.
They said that my details had been passed to them by 'Money Saving Expert' when I wrote to you in August 2018 about PPI.
Can you confirm that this is true? or advise me what steps I should take in this regard.
Thank you
Frank Lyness

Ignore
It's a scam site not condoned by MSE in any way
There will be no cheque
You will be asked loads of personal details and asked to sign an agreement.
They Will take a huge chunk
No PPI would be paid directly to a 3rd partyEx forum ambassador

Scam.
Stay clear of them, especially if they ask you to pay them an admin fee before they say they are going to give you this money.
There is no money and you would be a victim of advance fee fraud. Sign nothing, give them nothing.
Any successful PPI complaint sees the money paid to the person complaining, not a company.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Frank, you really need to ignore any and all cold calls you receive.
If you are unsure, tell whoever it is on the other other end to write to you because you do not accept unsolicited
'phone calls..
You might also want to invest in a call blocker which will help to prevent you receiving such spam calls in the future...
Also, under no circumstances allow such people to visit you in your own home..0 -

If you are with BT, they offer the effective BT call protect at no extra charge. It cuts out 90% of spam calls.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Mind you, the OP has also previously posted his own email address on here, so is probably no stranger to receiving offers of new and exciting opportunities.

Quick rule of thumb:
"phone call" + "out of the blue" = SCAM(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)0
