Anyone know how to get rid of this pop up? It's just started happening this morning. Everytime I go to a new screen it pops up. The pop-up tells me that my computer might be infected with this virus and that I should click ok to download antivirus software. DH had a quick look before he went to work and said not to click that as it was just a con to get you to click ok.
I've done an indepth analysis on NOD32 and it comes up that there an no threats found and I've also done a scan and clean. Again nothing is found. The pop-up is driving me nuts though, and as DH says it wouldn't be there for no reason. Any ideas anyone, or do I have to wait 10 hours before DH comes home from work?
I've posted this in the Arms as well, but thought you guys would be best to help

Download and install this: Super Anti Spyware
http://www.superantispyware.com/superantispywarefreevspro.html
It's free and does exactly what it says on the tin only much better than any other I've ever used. Used it recently to remove a very nasty spyware on my own machine and it worked like a dream. Might take 30 minutes to an hour to scan your pc so I'd just leave it to it.
Good luck0 -
Thanks for that big, I'm just downloading it now, so will let you know how I get on

I sent last mess. too soon, I meant to add to try the kaspersky online scan. I've found this to be good. However it doesn't get rid but at least you know what/where things are. Just don't close down the results until you've removed/noted what/where. Do a google on stuff it finds if necessary.0

How about a system restore to a date prior to this trouble? Last year I had a nasty pop up "bill" from a dubious site saying that I had subscribed and owed them money. It would pop up in front of all other stuff and could not be minimised. No spyware or anything was getting rid of it.
A system restore sorted it out.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
