Before drilling these holes...

Hi. I need to drill some holes close to the window of a stone house. I've just bought a multidetector to check for live wires and pipes. However the beeper goes off when the detector approaches the perimeter of the window recess, which is very close to where I need to drill.
There are no electric sockets on this wall, and the pipes are all external (due to thick stone behind the plaster). Does this sound like a false positive? I'm just wondering if something like metal beading (I think that's what it's called - to form the straight edge under the plaster?) could be triggering the beeper?
As you can probably tell, I'm no DIY bod, but trying to change that! Thanks.

More likely to be galvanised steel angle bead used to get an edge on the corner. Maybe tap the corner or even scrape a little bit right on the corner so see if it's metal.Solar install June 2022, Bath

Yes, this is what I'm thinking. It's just on the edges, exactly where that sort of thing would be. Definitely not screws!
