Pressed the app thingy, (whatever that is), on the screen as usual, told me to log in, (first time in ages)

Duly tried to log in as ordered forum did not recognise password, so pressed change password. Forum showed my e-mail, pressed that and it gives an old user name and a new password,.

Have been known and loved as The Deep for several years. Is , is it because I took the laptop to Calais yesterday (chardonnay shortage), and PC is Francophobic?

your DEEP profile is fine and shows recent activity, so I would be trying to get the password reset on that profile , so you can use it as your login

chances are that MSE wont like 2 logins, but thats a separate issue, for you and them

your DEEP profile is not PPR,d or anything, so it seems to be a simple admin problem, perhapos you used a different email address ?


whilst both names seem ok , and they could have the same password, separate and different email addresses are reequired, as 2 logins cannot share the same email address

Probably a forum SNAFU. I would be far more concerned about the Chardonnay crisis.

I feel your pain about foreign post posting though. Currently in warmer climes myself but internet is dreadful

I've not had problems in the north of the continent but in the EU I have. Really strange.

No, no new email, have had the same one since the turn of century.

Chardonnay shortage sorted, the Memsahib and I treated ourselves to a whole bottle last night

I have always drafted in Word and Works and now in in Open Office, C&Ped onto here, never had any trouble.

I am quite happy with current Brexit impasse, I voted remain, and think that the E.U. is the best thing since Bill Gates invented the sash window.

If ever in Calais, Pidou is excellent, and Lidl stocks a goodly selection of le plonk, but avoid Bollywood Restaurant, second worst Biriyani I have ever eaten, (worst was in Funchal).
