Quick question - professional clean buying property

Hello,

Quick question - when purchasing flat/ house, will the current vendors get it professionally cleaned when they move out?
Or is this cost expected to be covered by the buyer?

Thanks

No they won't. If you are lucky they will vacuum it and put the rubbish in the bins....

Go in and clean it yourself to save money.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

and if you are unlucky, they will be more concerned about their new home and will leave the old one a tip.......

I normally clean it myself and always bring new loo seats but apart from a rental property would never employ cleaners, they don't do it as good as me :j

Thanks. I have enquired with the EA anyway!
I'm already paying an additional 2-weeks rent in order to help meet their completion date. Feels like I have made alot of compromises but guess that is the whole house buying process

haha well I guess that gap in between completing and moving in, will allow me time to go in and clean away... I can't say I enjoy cleaning but don't think professional cleans are worth the massive cost to be honest

The norm would be that no professional cleaners are involved at all. There's certainly no contractual reason for the property to be handed over in a squeaky-clean condition.

So called 'professional cleans' only apply to rentals. You've just bought a property, it's yours, do what you want with it . .
