Endsleigh Insurance and Slater Gordon handling

I was sitting in my car to pick up my son from work a bit early than usual but slightly fall a sleep then a car hits my car from back. I come out of car with a bit shock and asked driver his driving details. He run away. Then I let police and my insurance company know the incident. After 2.5 years later, Slater and Gordon asked me to go to court for the case to be settled in court saying that there will be a solicitor who will help me in this case nothing to worry about.
When I was there, I was told that I could not win the case and must accept the expenses of other side at about 7 to £8000 . I thought this was the biggest disaster that my family faced while I have been in England.I am a pensioner and let this case to be known by local MP. I contacted and found another solicitor to look at this case for ay mishandling etc.Now this solicitor asked me for 2 hours work £506. I am completely shocked what to do. Any help and advice please

What did your insurance company (the one you were with at the time) say about this all? They should have been handling everything.

Sounds like S&G persuaded you to go for a legacy personal injury claim and you fell for it.

    Need more information.

    Who did Endsleigh insure?

    Who appointed Slater & Gordon?

    What was being claimed?

Who told you you wouldn't win in Court?

    What happened in Court?

Why aren't Endsleigh paying the other side's costs? They should be doing so.

I concur completely with DoaM and think you have fallen foul to one of these telephone RTC call centres trying to make money from your misfortune. Your details obviously were made available which they used to contact you and take you for a ride (forgive pun) unfortunately.
