PPI reclaim - Tesco bank asking for sickness benefit details etc

Hi all,
I'd be most grateful for some quick advice as this is a bit urgent. I submitted a PPI compensation request to Tesco Bank on behalf of my late father. I got a phone call from Tesco bank end of last week - they said my dad did have PPI (from April 1999) and are investigating if it was missold.
While recognising I probably don't know the answer, they've asked me for details of:
- employee benefits he received in his job at the time (eg for sickness)
- any savings or investments he had at the time.
- any medical conditions he would have declared up to that point.
They're asking me to look through his papers to try and find some of these details.
They said they need to wrap up this investigation by Thursday next week - a colleague was late in passing over the case to the man (who I spoke to). Hence the urgency of it. I said on the phone that I didn't see why I should have less time to cooperate because of a miss-handling within their department.
I'd be grateful for any advice on how you might handle this situation (if you were in my shoes)? Do you think it would be advantageous to me if I am able to find some of the details they requested in my dad's (many, many) papers?
Many thanks
Dave

When you complain on behalf of a deceased relative, you can only stick to factual reasons why he PPI wasn't suitable, so you can't say for example, he didn't want it, he didn't know he had it, he was told he had to have it etc.
You have to show evidence of why it wasn't needed, and they are asking you for this to decide whether it was suitable or not for him. They will still decide without any evidence but yes, it would be better if you did have some evidence.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
