My Xbox broke down last week and had to be sent to Microsoft for repair,

i've since heard from teletext that Microsoft are offering every person who has xbox live the opportunity to download a free game between today 15th and 17th Nov.

Now as I don't have my xbox and no facility to access this I cannot get this benefit, even though I have paid for a years subscription for xbox live.

Anyone know how I could get round this, (i don't know anyone with a spare xbox I could use).

they said there's nothing they can do, (it was a call center after all), but equally could not give me any address to write my concerns.

Does anyone know of addresses contact details whcih I could write to

I've searched on xbox.com but cannot find the link,

do you have a friend with a 360?
do an account recovery on their console and then download
then on your replacement do a recovery

As Custardy said, this is the only way to download a game when your console is away.

The free game is Carscassone, not exactly worth getting upset about imho.

In the same bat as you though, my box is away for 'repairs', strange, as last time they had a free arcade offer last year my console died that time too - so it's either all my fault or MS send a kill code to 360's to stop giving too many freebies away;)
