switched supplier but OFTM dispute the reading

I switched energy supplier on 14/12/18 from OFTM to BULB and was told to expect my final bill by 25/01/19. This hasn't happened and as I was in hospital over Xmas and the new year I didn't login to the OFTM site to see if they had produced a bill.
On 16/2/19 I logged on and found that my credit had gone down from £62 (approx) to £29.88 they had taken the money for a bill until the 14th they are now disputing the amount and have not produced the bill even though they took about £30 as the final bill, I cancelled the DD soon after the move.
I believe if there is any error it lies with them as just after not getting any bills from them for 3 months they said I owed them £273 as I had taken meter reads from the IHD as I thought this was what BG would have given them as the meter read instead BG had deducted the free time units and given them a read of 7906 some 1844 below the total. I was dumb about smart meters and didn't know they had different readings for any special things like free electricity until one of their call centre staff told me in July 18, I then found out about the three readings act 1, act 2 and total, emailing them to the person I spoke to, I them remembered I had put in a total read the day before so emailed them asking to take 1844 from the reading to get the true electric reading, they never did. What they did do was use the lowest free electric reading as my electric reading I emailed them but nothing happened I did this until about September, sending in the meter reads, all 3 total act 1 and act 2 but they kept using the free time readings so I just started putting in the free time reading even though my bill was using the act 1 reading. IMHO they had enough time to alter the readings but didn't even though they didn't, I tried but the stupid customer service lot just wasn't prepared to read past the initial reading.
Someone please tell me what money is

They never at any time said they wanted the two readings but after July when they went to using my free time reading but billing me using the reading from the British Gas reading reading. I started emailing them the three readings from the meter so IMHO they have made the error as they were supplied all three readings for some months but never acted on it even though I sent a message with each reading until I got fed up, IMO they are incompetent and will seek to chase the customer up later on.
