Your only other option is to pursue this through the courts. To do so you need to show what loss you sustained and that the loss was due to unreasonable behaviour of the dealer or Nissan.
You had a 36 month hp agreement at the end you would have had the option to pay the balloon and keep the car or return it and walk away. You returned it and walked away which is what most people do on hp. You had the use of the car or a curtesy car for 36 months so no loss here.
From what you have told us your loss is the storage fees paid and loss of use for any days you were without a vehicle at say £10 to £15 a day, and mileage for traveling to and from the garage at 25p to 40p a mile.
You are not bound by the ombudsman ruling. If your losses above are more than £500 current offer and you are willing to go to court issue a letter before action setting out your losses and giving 14 days notice. At the end of 14 days issue County Court proceedings.0 -
Qashqais have lots of fiddly electrical things on them and they are made by the French. That's all you need to know.0

IT WAS A PCP!!!!
Even if the car had been perfect and you handed it back at the end of the term, you still would have had NOTHING TO SHOW FOR YOUR MONEY!!! That is the whole point of a PCP, you're in effect leasing the car for the term and are given the OPTION of buying. You don't have to exercise that option. You can just had back the car.
Really does sound like you didn't understand the PCP contract and are trying to blame someone else.
I was on a HP agreement not PCP. And I said if it was a lease agreement I understand giving the deposit back but it was HP!!0 -
Of course you can challenge this. Just do it. Will you win? Probably not but as long as it doesn't cost anything and they can't reduce the award, go for it and let us know how you got on.
Thank you for actually answering the question. I wanted a Quashqi for 10 years I was over the moon when I finally got it. The comments on here that I didn’t really want it are untrue and are assumptions. I brought it on HP my family are growing up and this would be our last car and eventually at the end of the term I would pay it off or refinance it but I had no intentions of handing it back this would be my car for as long as I could see. For those people making the assumption that I have other intentions to suggest this is wrong that was not what I asked for your assistance on. i would be substantially better off with my work if I still had this car instead I am having to start over on another new car and making maybe not my financial position worst off over the next year but most definitely the years to come!0 -
