hi
how about going to your local school and becoming a governor or pta member even though i know you may not be a parent at that school, you get to meet parents and maybe get active with kids, keep you young!
good luck!:T Thanks to all lovely MSE'rs - you are great friends :T0 -
Hello Chrisey - welcome to the best part of Wales
You might find the Swansea Community Directory useful - http://www.swansea.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=6034
- it has details of loads of clubs, socities, etc in the surrounding area.

Hi Chrisey,
I know you posted this a couple of years ago, but I just came across it and being from the area thought I'd reply. I hope you've settled in well now, but wanted to suggest the local community centre as perhaps somewhere to meet people. It's near the roundabout at the top of Brynamman, and is now called the 'Black Mountain Centre'. They do loads of classes, and things like gardening clubs there, and I think you can also volunteer.
Anyway, hope this helps x0
