3rd party legal action

Hi,

Any advice from anyone with legal knowledge or who's been involved in a similar situation would be much appreciated. This is weighing heavy on my mind.

- I was in a minor accident, two people in my car, none in the other vehicle, no injuries. Both cars were damaged and I admitted liability and exchanged details with the owner at the scene who was inside a building. I raised the claim with my insurer on the same day including details of the damage and details of the 3rd party's vehicle and their name/number. I have photographs of both vehicles
- As far as I was concerned was then in hands of insurer but I've received various phone calls and messages from the 3rd party, aggressive in nature and asking for payment from me directly, claiming not to have heard from my insurer. My insurer claims to have evidence of contact with the 3rd party on several occasions
- Latest text is threatening 'prosecution', stating she has CCTV of the incident (not sure why relevant as I admitted liability) and claim for distress and loss of earnings.

My question is basically should I be worried/is there a case? I've contacted my insurer again and they have said I should just tell the 3rd party to contact them if they have any issues, as they are waiting to receive a bill for the 3rd party repair to then settle the claim following their most recent contact.

Many thanks,
Andy

leave it all to the insurers, they are trying to bully you into submission and provide an off the books compensation where they can keep asking for more

You should tell the 3rd party to contact your insurer.
If you get a legal letter send it to your insurer.

The 3rd party is not entitled to harass or threaten you and you can if necessary report them to the police, but the first step would be to politely ask them to stop harassing you.

You can of course stop answering any phone calls you don’t recognise and ask you friends/family to leave a voicemail.
