Remote Assistance equivalent for Mac.. preferably free?

At work we use various apps to remotely access other computers in the company, PCs and Macs.
I'm looking for something cheap on a strictly amateur level... think MiL with a Mac (and no memory for technical info) 200 miles away, ringing us several times weekly for technical help
We both use PCs but at work I have a Mac.
I have plenty of patience but O/H is starting to get tired of the hour-long Facebook sessions in idiot-speak
Any suggestions?

You can do remote assistance through MSN dont know if you have that on mac0

You need a VNC server (Apple Remote Desktop may be built in to the OS depending on the version) and a client.
