Water filter - bissell steam mop

Bissell steam mop 23K5-E - 2 years old - discontinued by Bissell - unable to source water filters (tried Amazon, Partmaster, espares etc etc)

Anyone got any suggestions ?

Can you leave the filter out and just use a Brita-type jug to fill it?

Good idea - yes - I don't think that there is an interlock preventing use with no filter
