The Competitions and Market Authority (CMA) has unveiled major proposals that could give it stronger powers to protect consumers against harmful business practices.
One example is the CMA being able to pause potentially dodgy business practices while it investigates consumer harm. This would stop unnecessary consumer detriment while the investigation is ongoing.
