If one leaves their employer during the year and gets a P45, does HMRC send you a P60 athe end of the tax year or do you just not get one?

I pretty sure you don't get one. You only get a P60 sent from an employer you are working for at the end of the tax year. Important to make sure you hang on your copy of the P45.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
As already stated, you only receive a P60 from the employer you are with at the end of the tax year so retaining the employee portion of your P45 is important. However, if you are/were in receipt of taxable benefits your P11d that details their monetary/ taxable value is only issued after the end of the tax year, including for those employments which ceased before the end of the tax year.0
