Depends who you're with. I closed a regular saver on a Saturday morning, deposited the cheque straight away to a current account and it had cleared by Tuesday morning. Doesn't necessarily take 10 days.0

They are introducing the option to do faster payments on all accounts in the next few months. They will be able to be requested via branch, phone and online I believe. When I was in branch last week I asked the question, due to me moving away from the branch area, to the manager who I have dealt with for years and she said strangely enough they had just had a staff bulliten outlining the process. We'll wait and see!0

What was the name (/issue number) of your account?
Issue 11.
Just to confirm I had and still have no other accounts with Leeds BS. This was the first Regular Saver I had ever had so I wasn't aware not adding a nominated account in advance of when you wanted the money could be a problem.0 -
Just to be clear for any future readers: you can't have nominated external accounts for a LeedsBS regular saver account itself; external accounts are allowed only for instant access accounts (or similar). But on maturity of fixed-term accounts such as regular savers, you should have the option to transfer funds directly to external accounts which are already linked to another of your LeedsBS accounts.Cottage_Economy wrote: »I had and still have no other accounts with Leeds BS. If a regular saver account is the only account you have with LeedsBS, then your options for transfering-out funds on maturity will be limited.0
