Nationwide credit card late payment fee reversed - will it effect credit file?

Options
During the introductory interest free period of my credit card I missed a payment which was due on the 11th.
I paid on the 14th which according to NW wont clear until 1-2 days. I called NW and they reversed the fee. My next statement is also due on the 14th.
Some Nationwide advisors told me it would not effect my credit score because it has been reversed, others told me regardless of whether it has been reversed or not, missing only one payment would not effect it. I also read online that if you pay before the next statement date it does effect it, some also said if its reversed before the end of the month, no update is sent so theres no effect.
Of those who have been in a similar position do you know if:
A) It shows up on the credit file (regardless of wether it effects the credit score)
B) It effects the credit score
C) There is anything that can be done to rectify the issue given the time. E.g, submit a note to credit lenders, letter etc.

P.S I use Experian.
Thanks

    1) shouldn't do, but check all three
    2). Doesn't matter. The score isn't a real thing.
    3) no

Ignore any reference to your credit score - it is a marketing gimmick provided by the CRAs that only you see. It is not used by lenders (as they cannot see it) so it is not an accurate metric of creditworthiness in any sense. What matters most is your credit history.

The first thing I would reccomend is that you check your credit files with all three CRAs (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) since not every lender reports to every CRA and if you are looking only at Experian then you might miss something. If the missed payment has been reported to your credit files then it will be visible to lenders until the request to remove it goes through - this can take 4-8 weeks depending on whereabouts in the reporting cycle this takes place. If it is not removed after this time then you need to notify Nationwide by making a formal written complaint. If you are imminently about to make a credit application and cannot wait the few months it might take to get the missed payment removed, then it might be worth submitting a notice of correction to the CRAs, although this probably will not help you very much (or at all).

It is quite possible that you lost the promotional 0% interest due to the late payment. That's far more important then a reversal of the £12 late payment fee.

Did you check with your card that the promotional deal is still in place, or, if it was cancelled, has been reinstated?
