Hi
I had an accident in march this year,an artic lorry pulled out from a junction and i went into the side/partly under the trailer.I was cut out and taken out through the roof on a board, then i went by ambulance to hospital where i was checked over and x-rayed.Lucky for me i had nothing broken but i had severe bruising from the seatbelt across my chest and side, this resulted in me only being able to sleep on my back for the next 4 weeks, the bruising cleared after about 12 weeks and i was off work for a total of 15 weeks.I had 8 physio sessions while i was off for neck and back pain. The third party admitted liability, and i have had a medical, the prognosis is that any remaining problems will have cleared up in 6-9 months. These problems are still with my neck and a tender rib joint.
My solicitor has now contacted me and said my claim is worth between £3000-£3500 and has suggested putting in an offer at £3750+ the special damages.I realise that it may be better to wait for the prognosis period to run but i was wondering if this sounded a fair sum, also there is an option to disclose the report and invite an offer from the third party, would that be worth a try?
Thanks for any advice.

My daughter had a whiplash injury to her neck and upper back and bruising from the airbag/seatbelt as her car was hit twice. She received £4000 which took well over 12 months to come through and probably wasn't enough as she continues to have problems. The doctor said it should have completely healed in 12 months but this has not been the case. I wish now we had taken another medical opinion but the insurance company were just so difficult I think she was just glad she had finally got an offer (after refusing the first lower one). As you are still having problems after 9 months would another medical opinion perhaps sway things in your favour?

Yes,i think i may let the prognosis period run in case these problems i'm still having don't resolve themselves.0
