  • Hi SNOOZER we were in the Old Schoolhouse at Hebden last summer but only for coffee and cake. Good to know they serve good lunches. Not been in the End Farm Shop so that's one to remember! I don't know where we are going today, they like to surprise me! It makes me feel like a child!

AOD well done! That was a big brave move to take!

The rain stopped, the sun came out and we had blue sky! But not for long! The rain is now back and the wind is still blowing. I am getting fed up of this weather now!

We had a surprising sight up here earlier on! A council worker with a grabbing stick was going round picking all the rubbish up that was blowing around from the wayward upskittled recycling bins!! It's usually left to blow around and, being on the corner, accumulate from all directions in our garden!

    xx

Forgot my old style content yesterday, which was got 2 x 2 roast dinners, 2 pitta bread sandwiches, and 3 x bowls chicken, noodle and dumpling soup out of carcass broth. I might have been able to get more but that's not bad for a first go for a while I think...
And wow AOD, well done on taking a massive plunge! Hve you got an extening pole mop by any chance? that might reach...

Morning all. Very windy here still and was awful during the night. I woke up several times. What with the weather, Brexit and DH's neurosurgery on Monday looming things are a bit miserable here.

Well best think positive,,,,,,,we are nice and warm, we have food in, the weather will be better on Mondsy, DH has a top surgeon, the waiting will be over and the children are being supportive. DS is taking his dad to hospital for 7am and DD is keeping me company as the operation will be up to 8 hours then he goes in to an icu bed for at least overnight into Tuesday. DS will be staying here whilst DH is in hospital.

Gers hope your Mum is feeling better. Holly H hope the appointments go well. TA have a nice lunch out.

Hugs to all who need them. Thinking of all the poorlies , worried and carers. Keep warm and enjoy the rest of the day.

~Taff and TA it was mildly brave, I usually end up getting it chopped off once it gets to the stage where I can tuck it into my waistband. It was getting really hard to manage, I was spending ages untangling it so being fed up with doing that was a motivator.

~taff, I don't have an extending pole so I'm going to improvise, later though, right now I'm busy doing useful things like monitoring the political situation and chatting on faceache.

    Hello all,
Dad's appointment went well although there is nothing more that can be done to improve his breathing. He was very well behaved and even took us to lunch at the chippy restaurant in town. The same one I suggested on Tuesday that he shot down in flames :(.
Today we were treated to the 6o's music, dance and snippets of news ( Martin Luther King, JFK and the moon landing ) I really enjoyed the trip down memory lane :D. We were invited back to DGS's class for refreshments and the usual raffle tickets .......... I might as well have just handed over my purse at the door :rotfl:. DGS was singing, dancing and reading about human rights, blimey it was deep . The next project for his class is designing and then making a 60's garment using sewing machines. Their teacher must be mad :D
We have also been shopping for gloss paint, so I'm good to go. I just have to find 2 days together where we don't have anything to do and I can give the bathroom my full attention :rotfl:
Tomorrow we are booked to take DD to the hospital for a scan, so another early start. Mr Fix it will drive us and then drop us off as the parking is usually awful.
If I can get some energy from somewhere I will crack on in the office. I did make a start on classifying Mr Fix It's books but I only got half way through sorting, so it's still in a mess. That's my goal for today.
Tea tonight will be pie and chips followed by strawberries and cream. ( but only small portions, got to keep on the diet bandwagon !! )

Holly good luck for your appointment.
Nelski hope today goes ok with Mum. Sending you some virtual magic juice to get through the day, well Prosecco really :rotfl:
Gintot I'm sure we will all be rooting for Mr G on Monday. I shall be there in spirit holding your hand.
AOD Wow ! that's a drastic change of hair style, enjoy the freedom .

Hugs to all today and hope you enjoy your Thursday whatever you are doing.
    Nan xx
