Though today having done about 12 years in the industry, I said up yours never want to work in the industry again, so maybe to late to worry about what has been.

You stayed awake for 96+ hours? Ok

No that would be almost impossible. I slept when I go too tired to work but I didn't leave work for 4 days just crashed in an office for a couple of hours
  • When I worked for almost 16 hours for a Food Expo for 4 days. Ingress and egress included.

What's the point of saying 5x12 hour shifts 'back to back' as your longest shift if you're leaving work and sleeping between them? This is a normal working week for some people (it is for me)? I'd have thought the qualifier for 'longest working day' used leaving work and sleeping as the cut off point; else I'd like to change my answer to working several decades in a row now.

I once started work at 6am on New Year's Eve and didn't finish until midnight and I've also done from 1pm in the afternoon until 4am the next morning.

People think I'm mad but I'd rather be useful and helping out...

I remember some trade shows in the past where you would be onsite a 6 in the morning to get the booth setup and be working until after midnight what with drinks receptions and client dinners.

Every day I see a post by JackCork it's a long day. Either an MSE bot or a strange cry for attention. Just check its posting history.

But thinking back in 1998 I did a 288 hour day using a toothbrush to clean the moon.

The funny part was I only had oxygen to last 6 hours so I died part way through the process.

It doesn't matter. We can figure out how hard workers some can be.
I work only nights, 12hr shift.
The longest marathon was 14 shifts in a row.
I work for about two years 5-6 nights a week.
Longest shift 39hrs. I was doing days at that time (young and brave) and night staff called sick. 15+9+15.

    Beat that :)

I take it that was in pre-tachograph days. And that you wouldn't condone anything remotely like it for any of your drivers.

I knw someone would come up with that! It was in a car and the drivers run squeaky legal.
Yes I'm bugslet, I lost my original log in details and old e-mail address.
