Foxtons : Moving from yearly contract to monthly rolling?

Hi all!
I wondered if anyone had any experience or knowledge about the possibility of moving from a yearly rent contract to a monthly rolling one with Foxtons?
Our contract and any other documentation that we have from Foxtons doesn't talk about what happens and if fixed contracts automatically roll over to a monthly basis. It just talks about a Renewal of tenancy which I assume is for the same time period (?).
Our landlord is extremely difficult to get a hold of and the letting agent is equally useless so I was hoping to get some advise before embarking on the headache that is contacting them. . . .
Any useful comments would be much appreciated. Thank you for your help!

When does your current contract run out? You will automatically go month to month. If any time now imagine a mad dash to sign you to a years contract by the agent will take place so they can top you off one last timeAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0

Thank you! The current contract runs out on the 31st of August this year, so there is still plenty of time... Just keen to know what the options are. Thank you again!0

be careful with Foxtons, I used them previously and will try and charge a bomb for anything little. They are slow refunding your money back as well"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

The OP will move to a statutory periodic tenancy; assuming no other clause exists. That is likely monthly but it does depend on what the tenancy periods were0 -

* Ending/renewing an AST: what happens when a fixed term ends? How can a LL or tenant end a tenancy? What is a periodic tenancy?0 -

Difficult to see how they could charge a bomb when this will be after the ban on tenant fees.
In fact it might be in the interest of the OP to renew since the fee ban initially applies to renewals but not to periodic tenancies.0 -

The Tenant Fees Act 2019 is here in full ..
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2019/4/contents/enacted/data.htm
It is fairly indigestible in the raw so this seems a reasonably reliable summary ...
