Grant of Confirmation in Scotland - applying at Sheriff Court

Hi there. I am helping my father apply for a grant of Confirmation from the local Sheriff Court. After filling in the c1 and c5 HMRC forms, we are handing in the documents (3rd attempt) tomorrow. Please can you let me know if you have completed this recently and how long it took to get the certificate of confirmation. Thanks in advance.

I see that you have no responses to this. I think the length of time it takes can vary quite a bit depending on how busy the particular court is. I was recently told that they were currently opening mail from ten days previously in one of the busier courts, so I would hazard a guess that you might expect to hear in about two weeks.0

From day of handing in forms (at Dundee) it took 7 days for Confirmation to be granted. It was a relatively simple application.0
