Atlantic Electricity economy 7

Does anyone know what times this runs from-to?? I cant find it on my bills and the site is down.

I am ashamed to say I have been on this for years and I am not even sure its the tarriff for me anymore I am on this site to look for a good calculator to see if tis worth it - in the summer we have the pool heater on overnight which is electric but in the winter i am sure we dont use it to its full advantage. Thinking simple stuff like washer/dishwasher on overnight would save us. I cant use a timer switch cos my plugs are under the units at the back with only the switch on the top so if it was at reasonable times to switch stuff on would be good

ANy help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

Generally they are set 12-7am or 11:30-6:30 or 12:30-7:30. Depends on region.

However, they can frequently be set incorrectly so it's best to check when the meter actually switches over at your end. They can sometimes be out by several hours which will affect your decision on your appliances.

The times may be recorded on the meter. Can you see anything? Depends on the type of meter though.

However, it will switch over to recording on the off peak dial at the switchover time. Then it will start recording again on the peak dial when the off peak time has ended. Thats a basic way of checking.

If you have devices connected to the off peak timeswitch, you will notice them come on when it switches to off peak time.

Check if the timings are noted on it first in some way to save you popping out.
