  • Thanks dunroving and getmore for less:)
I have been looking constantly , more or less since I moved in here 2 years ago:o
TBH , I am fortunate to have the room that I do have as a single person . It's just the little things , that become bigger over time .

The best room in the flat for me is the living room . In theory I could put my computer in there and even my Moog keyboard on the coffee table :D This would mean that as one of you mentioned, I could just use the small bedroom for storage . One of my friends who crashed over ( and was complimentary ) suggested this .

The flat above me has been put up for sale last year and the owner changed his mind and is letting it out instead . So I will have new neighbours imminently . I mention this as I saved the ads on right move and can see the pics before and after the internal decoration .
The previous neighbour had her computer in the living room .
Lots to think about . .

Photohosting site such as tinypic, upload photo. choose the URL for forums then copy and paste it across.

I use an ottoman bed. Its very handy a logical to put bedding in there, possibly even your gig bags (no idea how big they are lol, it may be a ridiculous idea if they are massive).

If you use a laptop, would a fold down table be a good idea for a study area?

A good idea for getting rid of stuff is if you haven't used it for a year, get rid of it. However I think the idea of 'if it doesn't make you feel joy get rid of it' (the japanese decluttering lady every is raving about) is a bit odd lol. Still it makes me laugh lolol.

Good point about the ottoman .
I was going to get a laptop ( MacBook as I'm a Mac user), but I was advised to get an imac as the build quality of MacBooks are not great
    These days.
Good point you raise also about decluttering . You can over do it imho and can make a place soulless :)

IMO, people who are super critical should be made uncomfortable enough that they don't want to visit often! They can always check into a hotel if they don't find the accommodation up to their standards.

+1 to this. Friends are supportive. Someone who grouches nonstop is bad for morale & in your home, discourteous. Mind some old grouches need to be on a raised bed & so might need the settee rather than try to get up from an air mattress...
  • I'm in the middle of everything at the moment ;)
In that tiny room , I have a sideboard . Initially ,I had everything on one side of the room . I have for now, moved that to the other side .
I have moved the Moog keyboard into the living room , just as a test really . I'm on the verge of putting the computer desk into the front room ,and the small sofa in the tiny bedroom . I love the front room.
The main bedroom is fine . Just a bed albeit king size, a wardrobe and a chair for clothes etc.
A sofa bed is in the back of my mind .

In a way, I'm thinking of having the bass guitars in the front room also. The boiler under the window in that room although safe , is offputting tbh.
At the moment I have all the gear and no idea :o
