Buying in scotland from England

If currently living in england but interested in a property in Scotland do i get a solicitor local to me or does it need to be a scottish one considering the differences in the buying process/laws?

It would need to be one in Scotland, I'm reasonably sure there aren't any Scottish-qualified solicitors in England offering residential conveyancing.0

Needs to be a Scottish solicitor, and I'd also recommend that you find one in the locale that you are buying in.
There's been recent threads on the topic of moving from England to Scotland, do you need more info on the mechanics of buying in Scotland?0
